Thank you for visiting my webpage! My hobby and passion over the past 20 plus years is cold hardy Desert landscaping. In my early years it was primarily cactus and succulent plants that got my attention, but as the years passed I became interested in all Desert plant species.
The purpose and goal of this site is to introduce you to the many Desert plants that can survive both extreme heat and cold, as well as the conditions that will allow them to thrive in the garden setting. I hope it will be as much of a learning experience for me as well as you.
Three categories for Desert gardening I'm emphasizing are 1: Plants for the rock gardening enthusiast, including cold hardy cactus, succulents, and perennials. 2: Drought and cold hardy plants that attract Hummingbirds and general wildlife. 3: Drought and cold hardy plants that are useful as a food source.
All of this is a work in progress and I'll always be doing a tweek here and a tweek there.
